Radiator — no leak at neck or hoses · cooling fins not severely debris-fouled
Drive line / U-joints — no visible play · no boot tear · no missing strap (walk-around visual)
Front axle — spindle nuts in place · no obvious damage to axle or knuckle
Fuel tank — straps / mounts secure · no abrasion against frame
Transmission — engages / shifts cleanly · no slipping · no abnormal grind
Clutch (manual transmission only) — free play within range · engages smoothly
Seat belt — present · functional · no fraying
Defroster — functional when ambient ≤ 40°F or precipitation forecast in shift window
Cab heater — functional · escalates to OOS if window fogging affects visibility
Oil pressure & coolant temp gauges OR equivalent ECM warning system functional
Fuel gauge — functional · driver may estimate by miles · 7-day shop window
Dash gauges (oil / temp) inop on units with ECM check-engine + fault display fully functional · 14-day shop window
