Can't sign in to Safety
Quick fixes when /safety-portal/login isn't working.
Safety uses per-user email + password. If you can't get in, walk through these in order.
- Confirm you're at /safety-portal/login (NOT /admin/login or any other portal door).
- Check caps lock and spelling. Passwords are case-sensitive.
- If this is your first login, use the temporary password an admin gave you. You'll be forced to change it.
- Use 'Forgot password?' for a reset link by email (single-use, 30-minute expiry).
- Check spam if the reset email doesn't arrive. If it's still missing, your operator may have the wrong email on file.
- If you see 'account disabled', contact your operator.
Why this mattersSafety is its own isolated scope. Admin tokens do NOT satisfy Safety endpoints automatically — that's intentional, because Safety records are referenced during OSHA conversations and need a clean audit trail of 'who read what when'.
Do NOT type your Safety password into another portal's login form. Each portal has its own login. Repeated bad attempts on the wrong portal can lock that account temporarily.
If you're locked out, wait 15 minutes — the lockout self-clears — or contact your operator. Safety lockouts are rare; if it happens twice in a week, the issue is probably the wrong login URL, not the password.
