The Weekly Lead is a quick second-set-of-eyes pass by a lead driver, fleet lead, or superintendent. It's not a re-do of the daily DVIR. It's the operational hygiene check — recurring complaints, items the lead wants Shop to look at, the things a driver who runs the same truck every day stops noticing.

Why this mattersLeads see patterns drivers miss because they swap trucks. A weekly lead pass catches the slow leak, the gradual mirror crack, the door seal that's been letting in dust for three weeks. Small problems · before they become OOS.

- Defects route through the same Shop queue as the daily DVIR
- Severity governance is identical · OOS / Monitor decided by the system
- Shop sees the lead's note alongside the driver's note from the same morning
