What a daily report is (and why yours matters)
The 60-second explanation for field crew.
Every workday gets a Daily Report. Your supervisor or foreman submits it before the crew leaves the site. It records: who was there, what was done, what was used, and anything that came up.
Why this mattersThat report is what the office reads to know how the job is going. It feeds payroll, project status, and any after-the-fact question about the day. Your work shows up there — accurately reporting hours and conditions is how your day gets fairly documented.
- Tell your supervisor if hours were missed or recorded wrong
- Flag issues out loud at the end of the day so they make it into the report
- Photos you took on the phone may get included — keep them clear
