Field Leadership Portal Accounts (per-user)

Per-user Field Leadership Portal accounts — what they are, who issues them, and when the legacy shared-password gate still applies.

A Field Leadership Portal account is your individual operational identity inside MASCI. It is a company email + an individual password — not a shared crew code. Every Daily Report, write-up, equipment sign-out, and crew evaluation you submit is signed in your name in the audit trail.

Which door do I use? Two valid doors exist. The per-user portal at /field-leadership/portal/login is the operational door — your day-to-day workflows live there. The legacy shared-password gate at /field-leadership/login still exists for read-only crew documents; it does not unlock operational workflows. Most leadership work happens at the per-user door.

Who issues accounts: HR or Admin. They create your account, set a temporary password, and hand the temporary password to you through the channel HR uses for credentials. The portal forces you to change the temporary password the first time you sign in — that is the handoff from 'issued' to 'in use'.

Who gets accounts: Superintendents, Foremen, Truck Bosses, Working Supervisors, Field Supervisors. Accounts are issued to people who actually need them — not 'just in case' accounts, not training accounts that never get cleaned up.

Password resets: HR or Admin resets the password if you forget it, or you can use the Forgot Password link on the login page. Either path issues a fresh temporary password and invalidates the prior password immediately. Old sessions die at the same moment.

Why this mattersPer-user accounts exist because operational actions need operational accountability. A signed Daily Report carries your name into payroll and Safety review; a write-up carries your name into the employee record HR keeps. A shared crew password cannot deliver that — everyone signed in looks the same. The per-user portal is how the platform connects what happens in the field to who actually did it.
Your password is yours — not the crew's. Don't text it to a foreman, write it on a clipboard, or share it 'just so they can pull a report.' Every action signed under your name is yours operationally — including the ones you didn't actually do because someone borrowed your login. If a teammate needs access, that's an HR/Admin account-issuance conversation.

When does the legacy shared-password gate still apply? Read-only crew document access at /field-leadership/login — drawings, plan sets, and similar documents the whole crew needs to see. The shared gate does NOT unlock Daily Reports, write-ups, equipment checkout, evaluations, or any other per-user workflow. Both doors are intentional; they do different jobs.

What happens next
  • Don't have an account yet? Ask HR or Admin — they issue Field Leadership Portal accounts.
  • Got a temporary password? Sign in at /field-leadership/portal/login and change it on first sign-in.
  • Can't sign in? Read 'Can't sign in to Field Leadership' (public).
  • Already in? Read 'Field Leadership — First Week' for the operational rhythm.
  • Not sure which door you should be using? Ask HR or Admin. The answer is fast (usually 'whichever account we set you up with'). Don't bounce between the two doors troubleshooting on your own.
