Can't sign in to Field Leadership

Quick fixes for both Field Leadership doors — per-user portal and legacy shared-password gate.

There are two Field Leadership doors and they need different things at sign-in. Figure out which one you're at, then follow the matching checklist.

Which door am I at? If the form asks for an EMAIL and a password, you're at the per-user portal (/field-leadership/portal/login). If it asks for only a password, you're at the legacy shared-password gate (/field-leadership/login).

Per-user Portal — /field-leadership/portal/login (your company email + your individual password):

  1. Confirm you're at /field-leadership/portal/login (not /field-leadership/login).
  2. Use the company email HR or Admin issued you — not a coworker's, not a personal email.
  3. If you were issued a temporary password and never signed in, the portal will force you to change it on first sign-in.
  4. Forgot the password? Use the Forgot Password link on the login page, or ask HR/Admin to reset it. The reset issues a fresh temporary password and invalidates the old one immediately.
  5. Still rejected? Ask HR/Admin to confirm your account is active. Deactivated accounts cannot sign in.

Legacy Shared-Password Gate — /field-leadership/login (crew-wide password for read-only crew documents only):

  1. Confirm you're at /field-leadership/login (the shared-password door).
  2. Verify spelling and caps-lock state — the shared password is case-sensitive.
  3. If you already have an Admin or PM token (you've signed in to /admin/login or /pm/login earlier in this session), the legacy gate accepts those automatically.
  4. Close the browser tab and reopen if a previous token is interfering.
  5. Ask your direct supervisor or the office for the current shared password if it has been rotated.
Why this mattersBoth doors exist on purpose. The per-user portal carries operational accountability — every action is signed in your name. The shared-password gate exists for crew read-only document access where individual identity isn't needed. Most operational work belongs at the per-user door.
Do NOT type the shared crew password into the per-user portal (or vice versa). Wrong door + wrong password is what causes most repeat sign-in failures. Look at the form first; if it asks for an email, you need your per-user credentials.
Once you sign in successfully at either door, your browser holds a session token. You don't need to re-enter credentials again that same shift unless you close the tab or the session expires.
